Where does the name Kelvin come from?
Kelvin is named after Lord Kelvin (aka William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin) and the Kelvin temperature scale which was named in his honor. As you may remember from high school science class, “absolute zero” is defined as 0 K on the Kelvin scale and is the theoretical temperature at which all molecular motion ceases. Lord Kelvin is widely known for determining correct value of absolute zero as approximately −273.15 degree Celsius or −459.67 degree Fahrenheit.
Can I serve Kelvin slush in my bar or restaurant?
Is your slush Organic?
Yes. All of our slush flavors are certified USDA Organic by GCIAOCP, Athens, GA in accordance with the organic standards of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Amongst other things, that means we do not use any high fructose corn syrup in our slush or any other artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Only products that have been certified organic by the USDA and contain at least 95% organic ingredients (and 100% organic compliant ingredients) may bear that USDA Organic seal. In addition to being organic, our slush flavors are also vegan, gluten free, and are not made with genetically modified ingredients (non-GMO).
Is your slush vegan?
Yes. We do not use any dairy or animal products in our slush.
Is your slush Gluten Free?
Yes. There are no ingredients in our slush that contain gluten.
Is your slush Non-GMO?
Yes. Organic products are not made with genetically modified ingredients.
Are your products Kosher?
All of our slush flavors are certified kosher by the Orthodox Union (OU).
Where can I try a Kelvin slush?
You can find us in lots of places. During the summer, you can visit us at the Brooklyn Flea’s Smorgasburg in New York. You can also find Kelvin on the menu at bars & restaurants around the country.

What are the Vendy Awards?
Called “the Oscars of food for the real New York” by Chef Mario Batali, the Vendy Awards are New York City’s annual competition for the title of Best Street Food Vendor. The Vendy Awards are also a fundraiser to support the Street Vendor Project of the Urban Justice Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that we are big believers in and that provides a voice for the thousands of people who sell food and merchandise on the streets of our city.
Can I book Kelvin for a private event?
We are generally not available for private events.
